Challenge: Client approached us to pack whey powder into a pre-made doypack machine. The range was between 150gr and 2.5kg. Also the client requested in each bag a plastic spoon to be added. As the product is very expensive accuracy is a critical point.

Project: The RPL-260 doypack machine was selected in order to reach the whole range of bag sizes and weights. For the dosing unit we have selected an Auger doser which can reach a range between 100gr and 2.5kg. In order to have a very accuracy weight results we have integrated a check weigher which weighs each bag and communicates directly to the auger doser to correct when needed. This function comes with a reject, in case there is too much or too less product in the bag it rejects the bag without sealing it which gives the client the opportunity to re-use the bags. Our client also is using different types of spoons. For each spoon we have build a custom made spoon dispenser which enables the customer to add in each bag one spoon to the required size.
